Top Robot Vacuums and Mop Combos
While robots can't replace a traditional vacuum in removing dirt-in particles like metal screws and pieces of orzo pasta, they're great at sweeping dust, crumbs and pet hair. The best models have intelligent navigation and a feature to avoid objects which allow them to navigate around cords, toys and other household obstacles.

1. IRobot Roomba i3+ EVO
The iRobot Roomba i3+ is an excellent robot vacuum that comes with several smart features that make it easier to maintain. Its automatic bin emptying is one of the most convenient features we've encountered in a robot and it's compatible with both hard floors and carpets. It's also easy to set up and use with the app that guides you through the process step-by-step. Its ability to restart the same place it left off during our tests is a great feature. It did this for 77 minute on one cleaning, and then the battery was exhausted.
The i3+ EVO unlike the other robot vacuums we have tested, has a self emptying bin that automatically dumps debris in an external dirt compartment located on the base of its charging once it's full. The i3+ EVO is able to prevent overfilling with a self-emptying bin. However, it must still be manually emptied at the end of each cleaning session. The i3+ EVO dust bin can hold 2.4L, which will last for four to five cleaning sessions.
The i3+ EVO, just like the i7, uses cutting-edge floor-tracking sensors that create maps. It can also allow you to navigate in neat rows. However, the i3+ EVO only stores one map, while the i7 has the capacity to store multiple maps. The i7 can also use its map to create no-go zones and virtual barriers, however the i3+ EVO cannot.
Although the i3+ EVO is better in picking up dirt and debris from surfaces than the other robovacs we looked at, it's not the best for cleaning corners and edges. It's also less gentle on furniture despite being relatively quiet. It was a bit rough on furniture as it forced chairs away. It also made some collisions against the sides of the test bed.
2. Black & Decker Pro Q5
The Q5 Pro is an excellent option, whether you're expanding your collection of robot vacuums or just starting out. It packs powerful power, advanced navigation and a user-friendly automation into a sleek design at an affordable price. It's the best pound-for-pound model available today and is even better than some of Roborock's more expensive models in a variety of ways.
This robot does a fantastic job of cleaning floors with no dust and its avoidance system helps it steer clear of furniture legs and other obstacles. It also performs well on carpets and scores an excellent score in our tests on navigation. The only drawback is that it's louder than other models and doesn't perform better in our user-satisfaction and predicted reliability tests.
The Q5 Pro comes with a large dust container of 770ml. This means you won't need to empty it as often as other 2-in-1 robots. The 240-minute runtime is very generous compared to others we've examined. When the battery is low, it returns automatically to its dock, where it recharges and then resumes cleaning where it was when it stopped. You can control the Q5 Pro using the app or voice commands using Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant.
This is the first robot we've seen with 3D mapping. This along with other advancements has helped it perform exceptionally well in our vacuuming tests and mopping tests. You can schedule cleanings and create no-go zones. You can also check the battery's status. The app is simple to use, but it isn't compatible with Apple HomeKit; that feature is scheduled to be added in 2025. As of early November, Apple has updated a footnote on its website to reflect that this feature is delayed until 2025. A few other robots aren't compatible with HomeKit however, a lot of them work with Siri Shortcuts.
3. TP-Link Tapo RV30 Plus
The Tapo RV30 Plus TP-Link robot vacuum cleaner is a fantastic option if you're searching for a vacuum that can mop as well and is affordable. It comes with a plethora of features at a reasonable cost and features a stylish design. You can control the device using different buttons on the device or through the app, and even use voice commands. The device is powered by batteries, and the vacuum can automatically empty itself.

The Eufy iMop robot vac uum and mop is among the best fully-featured robots for flooring made of hard wood. It has a high-tech mapping system that maps your home even across multiple floors. And the well-designed base station almost fully automates the cleaning process. It is a great obstacle avoidance system and navigation.
This model utilizes a dToF internal LiDAR sensor to identify your home's location, and create efficient cleaning routes. The iMop was rated highly for its coverage and navigation. It also did an excellent job avoiding obstacles like furniture. It's also able to find its way back to the base station which is a nice feature in the event it is unable to recharge its battery during a cleaning session.
It also has a spot cleaning mode that lets you to mop or clean an part of your floor. It can also be programmed to follow a predetermined path, which is beneficial if you have narrow staircases or hallways. It did a decent job of cleaning carpets in our carpet cleaning evaluation however it had a difficult time with higher pile carpets and carpets. It is able to lift the mop pad automatically when it comes into contact with carpet. This is a fantastic feature for those who wish to not have to mop their carpets.
The iMop includes an onboard dust bin and water tank that is empty at the conclusion of every cleaning session.
