Top Black Friday and Cyber Monday Robot Vacuum Deals
If you've ever thought of get a robot vacuum, now is the time to get one. CNET's top-rated models are on sale this Black Friday and Cyber Monday, with savings of up to 57%.
The Roborock Q7 Max is a powerful robot with smart mapping and app-based no go zones. Its 180-minute running time is impressive. It also automatically refills and self-empties its water tank.
1. Roomba j7+ iRobot from iRobot.
The Roomba J7+, iRobot's most advanced robot to date is the Roomba J7+. Its most significant advancement is an obstacle detection system that utilizes built-in AI to recognize objects like charging cords, shoes, and the pet waste that most other robots can't avoid (and often plough right through). It's the first robot to provide you with images of objects that it encounters, so you can instruct that it is safe to avoid it.
The Combo j7+ is also the most efficient mop robot we've ever tested, picking up spills and dirt with ease and leaving no trace that it was there. The iRobot application makes it simple to control. It can schedule cleanings and even create Keep Out Zones to ensure it doesn't clean in areas that you don't want. It's compatible with Alexa or Google Assistant so you can start it and stop it with a voice.
The design is also more appealing than the competition. It has a sleek, top piece that resembles an toy, not an obnoxious and loud robot. Clean Base's Automatic Dirt Disposal System also self-empties, which will cut down your cleaning time.
In our tests the j7+ was quick to clean up dust dirt, pet hair and even pet hair. Its counter-rotating rubber brush rolls kept the debris in one spot instead of scattering it around the floor. It was able capture small gravel, sand and even a little grit. Most robots could not achieve this feat. And all this without getting tangled up in our pet's hair shedding.
While it's not quite as sophisticated as the $1,217 iRobot Roomba s9+ Auto-Emptying Vacuum, and it's not able to clean stairs, the j7+ is still a solid option for those who need mopping and a vac in their home. It's not expensive, and the iRobot app makes it very user-friendly to use.
The iRobot Home App is easy to use but we found it less reliable than other robotic cleaner apps. It can take a long time to download updates, and at times it's hard to determine if the update is actually working until you see it in the action.
2. Roborock Q5+
If you're looking for a robot vacuum that does more than just clean floors, the most effective option is likely to be a hybrid. These robots come with a water tank, so they can mop and vacuum simultaneously. They also come with a variety of extra features, including smart mapping, small obstacle avoidance, and the ability to wash and dry mopping pads. The downside is that they tend to be pricey at full retail, but on Black Friday and Cyber Monday they are often reduced in price.
Roborock is one of our most loved robot vacuums, and the Q5+ isn't an exception. This is the cheapest model in their auto-empty line. Although it doesn't include some of the luxurious features (like no-go areas and multi-story memories), it's still an excellent choice for those who are willing to make a few compromises to save a few bucks.
The Q5+ is notably soft around obstacles like tables and walls which makes it a great choice for homes with lots of furniture. It's also extremely thorough in getting rid of dust bunnies which is a place where cheaper robot vac uums can really be a bit sloppy. The Q5+'s navigation system is also excellent, with few misses on walls and corners.
The Q5+, as with other Roborock products, can be controlled by just a few buttons on the device, or via the Roborock App. The app lets you start and stop cleanings and schedules, as well as create virtual barriers and no-go zones and modify your home map or change the labels of rooms.

If you choose to purchase the Q5+ model, it ships with a new auto-empty dock that's specifically designed to make the machine easy to maintain. It requires a screwdriver to install, but once installed, the process of emptying the bin is relatively easy. It comes with a huge LCD screen which is helpful for setting up schedules or altering settings. This isn't an essential feature for the majority of people, but it's one that can assist you in keeping the track of the intervals between maintenance for your robot easily.
3. Narwal Freo X Ultra
The Freo X Ultra is a well-rounded robot mop and vacuum that's astonishingly clever in its mopping and vacuuming capabilities. Its design is one of the most innovative in the market, but it's expensive.
Its base station looks good and is hidden when it's not in use, and the size is quite compact. The station's main selling point is the fact that it automates a variety of tasks, functions and chores that other robots would leave to you. It can keep clean and dirty water and electrolyze and heat the water. Most other robovacs will require this.
Its vacuuming capabilities are impressive and efficient, too. It's the only robot vacuum I've tried that does an excellent job of removing the dust from floors with no. And it's not as loud as the expensive Roomba 900 series or iRobot 980.
However, the Freo X Ultra has its shortcomings, particularly in terms of navigation. The laser and LiDAR sensors aren't as reliable as other robovacs, which means it is sometimes stuck or confused in certain rooms or corners of the house. It's not able climb stairs as well as competitors, and it doesn't have a dock that lets you to create an area for cleaning that is specifically designed for carpets with plush padding.
The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is an excellent option for those looking for a vacuum robot that can do it all.
If you're looking to save money or don't mind the limitations of the robot, there are other options on the market. A lot of eufy models are considerably less. The eufy Qrevo curv, for example is a bit more expensive however it comes with many more features, like the ability to climb stairs and a full-function Dock, with a better overall vacuuming experience on bare floors, low-pile carpets, and even high-pile ones.
4. eufy RoboVac G30
Eufy, an Anker company, has a track record of producing robot vacuums that strike the right balance between features, performance and price. The G30 Hybrid is no different, offering a capable cleaning of hard floors as well as mopping, carpets and other surfaces at a reasonable price. It's easy to set up, just attach one of the side brush and turn it on, then connect your charging dock. The app walks you through several steps to connect it to your Wi-Fi and then the G30 is ready to go. The dock should be placed close to an outlet that has plenty of room to move.
The G30 is small, 2.85 inches tall to be exact, which means it can be tucked away under sofas and other furniture with low clearance. Its design is less flashy than some of the rival models, sporting a sleek black finish and three physical buttons: Auto Cleaning start/pause, Recharge, and Spot Cleaning (which scrubs an area in an arc for two minutes). You can also connect the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home to do unscheduled cleaning with voice commands.
The most important characteristic that distinguishes the G30 apart from its competitors is the way it cleans. It makes use of an integrated map to draw an image of the immovable objects in its path. It can remember what it has already cleaned and what it is unable to access. It then returns to the base to recharge and continues cleaning where it left off.
The elegant G30 has some flaws. The iRobot Roomba 675 is much better built, incurs lower recurring costs, is charged faster and offers similar battery life. It also offers superior performance on floors that are unfinished and carpets with low pile. It also comes with a larger dust bin that doesn't require to be emptied as often and comes with the boundaries that restrict it from certain areas. The G30 on the other hand is more affordable and a lot simpler to maintain. Its smaller canister means it doesn't have to be empty as often and has less trouble with bulky materials such as cereal.
